* Notes for eBook users

The University of Wollongong was not able to successfully negotiate an agreement with Eurofield Information Solutions (EIS) for the ICD-10-AM/ACHI/ACS eBook. As a result, the NCCC is not able to distribute further copies or maintain errata updates to the 7th edition of the classification in eBook format. The NCCC is currently assessing eBook production options for future editions of the classifications.

The Seventh Edition eBook Errata changes can be added using the Notes function in the eBook. For instructions on how to use the Notes function, see the eBook Help menu.

Organisations with a network version of the eBook are advised to have one person update the errata changes as Notes and then share the notes with other users on that network using the eBook Pad function. For instructions on how to use the Pad function, see the eBook Help menu.

ICD-10-AM/ACHI/ACS Chronicle

The ICD-10-AM/ACHI/ACS Chronicle is a reference tool that documents changes between editions. The ICD-10-AM/ACHI/ACS Chronicle relates to changes made to the First, Second, Third, Fourth, Fifth, Sixth and Seventh Editions of the International Statistical Classification of Diseases and Related Health Problems, Tenth Revision, Australian Modification (ICD-10-AM), the Australian Classification of Health Interventions (ACHI) and the Australian Coding Standards (ACS).

The ICD-10-AM/ACHI/ACS Chronicle has been built with the aim of improving understanding about changes made to the classification and reasons for the changes. Health classifications must be regularly updated and maintained to retain clinical relevance. The changes created during updates are documented in the ICD-10-AM/ACHI/ACS Chronicle to meet the needs of present and future researchers and other users of ICD-10-AM/ACHI coded health data.

Effective use of the ICD-10-AM/ACHI/ACS Chronicle is contingent upon assumed knowledge of the ICD-10-AM/ACHI classifications and coding conventions (ACS). The ICD-10-AM/ACHI/ACS Chronicle does not teach clinical coding. The ICD-10-AM/ACHI/ACS Chronicle is supplied in read-only format.
